BUFFALO

Outdoor Clothing made in Sheffield (England) since 1979.

Buffalo originated the first single-layer clothing system, which they called the DP System. DP stands for Double P as in “Pertex” and “Pile”.

The Buffalo workshop is situated in Sheffield on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, where they gain much of their inspiration and do a great amount of product testing. They are all proud of their workshop in Sheffield and are happy to keep alive the heritage of British manufacturing, but the reason they produce there is simple – they can constantly control and refine their processes ensuring their production is superior.

Buffalo will always seek out the most technically advanced fabrics for their clothing. They’ll always design for function, rather than fashion. And they’ll only ever include features that actually make their gear work better in the worst weather conditions. For Buffalo, warmth, protection and unfailing performance will always be in. And in this respect, they’ll never budge.

Buffalo are proud to have been “Between you and the Wilderness” for over 30 years.

The Buffalo Ladies Active Lite Shirt is a slightly different outerwear approach on a cycle tour as it doubles up as a base layer and outerwear for those colder, showery days on the road. It is designed to perform best when worn next to skin, when the internal Teclite pile lining can wick moisture away and keep you warm, even in the wet. The PForm fabric, with its technical unique weave, offers a breathable and windproof outer shell. On particularly chilly days you can always wear the Ladies Active Lite Shirt over a base/mid layer for added insulation.

The useful side zips and velcro straps allow you to adjust the Ladies Active Lite Shirt to aid ventilation and prevent overheating when riding, or off the bike. And, the front chest “map” pocket is great for keeping regularly used items on the move.

As a bonus, Buffalo products are all designed and made in their workshop in Sheffield (England). More about that below…
