An essential item to have stowed in your panniers, on any cycle tour.
The Light My Fire Titanium Spork is a staple bit of equipment for all travelling cyclists – the spoon-fork-knife combo bringing a bit of civilisation to the outdoors, and the open road.
The Spork is made of titanium, one of the toughest alloys on the planet – lightweight and extremely strong. Its high biocompatibility also means it is non-toxic.
Designed especially for Light My Fire by Scandinavian designer Joachim Nordwall.
Material: Polished Titanium
LIGHT MY FIRE
In 1995 Light My Fire’s founder, Michael Odqvist, came across an age-old secret – MayaSticks. He was fascinated by the sheer brilliance of this resinous kindling. Not only was it a quick, easy and reliable way to get a fire going, the sticks were also completely natural, produced from waste – the stumps left from felled pine trees – by locals in Guatemala.
In 1996, they found the way of selling an alternative to MayaSticks – the Swedish FireSteel – a magnesium fire-starter that was developed and used by the Swedish Army.
The Light My Fire Spork has been a huge hit, since 2005 after being introduced as part of the MealKit, designed by Joachim Nordwall.
Light My Fire are a Swedish company and have chosen to manufacture our products at home. The reason is simple: Having a factory completely dedicated to our products gives us full control over quality matters, shorter lead times and fewer unnecessary transports. It’s good for the end product. It’s good for the environment. And we must admit, it does feel good to be a local hero in Västervik.
Swedish design has always been known for quality combined with functionality. At Light My Fire they are doing their very best to continue this tradition and develop new exciting products that let you make the most of the outdoors.
